For example, applicants based in Germany may apply for the prestigious Feodor Lynen fellowships of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Applicants from Europe may profit from the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (MSCA IF) - Global Fellowships funding research stays in Chile.

CONICYT offers competitive postdoctoral fellowships including funding for travel, relocation, and small equipment. The overall package amounts up to circa 50k USD per year for up to 3 years. There is one yearly call around June-August each year but there is an internal earlier screening of potential candidates.
